Logic Modules 3 and 4

Logic Modules 3 and 4

These logic modules were helpful in a similar sense to the first two logic modules, as they offered an opportunity to gain exposure to specific types of critical thinking and application style nursing exam-homework questions. Priority setting style questions are definitely important to gain a handle on because triaging a patients needs are a requirement to their survival. One must consider priorities such as Airway, breathing and circulation when assessing a patient, as well as maslows hierarchy of needs. In an emergency situation such as a mass casualty incident, triaging of patients may be required. Priority setting questions can help with clinical judgement related to this. Additionally, a nurse is most often responsible for the care of multiple patients in one shift. It is necessary to prioritize which patient to see first during rounds using ABC and maslows hierarchy of needs. The clinical judgement module helped with overall skills related to judgement that I may need to draw upon while working in the hospital. More exposure to those types of questions is invaluable to building the foundations of my nursing education, as well as matriculation into the clinical setting.
